Women vs Heart Disease

The biggest issue for women today is due to heart disease risk. But how do we protect ourselves from the horrors of hypertension, stroke, and the dreadful cardiovascular disease. Along with exercising and proper hydration we must consume diets high in omega-3 fatty acids, and reduce our sodium intake. Sources that are great in cutting heart disease include fish such as cod, herring, mackerel, and salmon. Studies have shown that those who ate at least 2 fish meals a week had better protection against cardiovascular disease. Foods high in sodium are breads, lunchmeats (ham or turkey), pizza, soups, cheeseburgers, popcorn, pretzels, and pasta dishes just to name a few. Try fresh fruits and vegetables and make more meals with variety instead of quantity. If we can continue to modify our diets in order to live long healthy lives, then we must implement these changes starting right now. As women we use our heart to love unconditionally, so now let's start loving our own heart unconditionally.
